After descending the steps somewhat uneasily, they saw Leafeon was awaiting them at the bottom. Unfortunately, she wasn’t in the best of situations; Wurmples, Pidgeys and the occasional Sunkern surrounded her. Things didn’t look good for her.
“They just appeared from nowhere!” she said, slamming a Wurmple into a dead faint. Eevee jumped from the stairs, taking a Pidgey by complete surprise. Vaporeon did likewise – this time onto a bare patch of earth – just in time; the stairs collapsed!
“How did this happen?” Eevee asked, tackling one of the Sunkerns.
“Which, the stairs or the pokémon?” Vaporeon replied, slamming himself into another pokémon.
“The pokémon! The stairs was probably the result of aftershock!”
“Probably.” Leafeon replied, enduring a Wurmple slamming into her. “This is a monster house.”
“Like that makes sense!” Eevee yelled, shrugging off the damage of a Wurmple’s Tackle.
“A monster house is a very powerful area,” Vaporeon explained. “It can summon pokémon from all over the floor. Thankfully, this does mean we’ll be unlucky to see any more hostile pokémon on this floor.”
“You say it like there’s another floor!”
“There probably –ah!” as a Sunkern used Absorb. “There probably is.”
