i noticed that Platinum didn't have it's own general thread. so i decided to start one.
put your team here and whatnot.
not gonna say it, not gonna say it.....I GOT MY OWN PLATINUM GAME! darnnit.

my planned team is:
Crobat <-flying type
Luxray <-awesome
Vaporeon <-need water type and it's AWESOME!
Infernape <-awesome
Bronzong <-very defensive. plus safeqaurd helps when catching pokemon.
Kricketune <- HM Slave. and krecketune with X Scissor with something that raises bug type attacks is NASTY.

i am spreading the hms through out my team. Kricketune will get two (rock smash and cut), infernape will get one (rock climb), luxray will get one (strength), vaporeon will get one (surf and waterfall will get deleted). fly and defog will be on a seperate pokemon.

A nice team!

I beat the Elite Four in my Platinum game not too long ago. I even tried out the Battle Frontier, which is odd for me. I like to battle without haven't to worry about too many rules or restrictions. But yeah, Platinum is cool.

Looker is the most useless and pointless character ever. So is Charon or whatever. Pluto would have been a better name. Both could have been fun additions, but they don't realy do much so it was just pointless.

Personally, I don't think Crobat's that good in-game without Brave Bird, which you need to breed for...

Really? I love having Crobat. I am going to have one on my HeartGold game. And I would never use Brave Bird, so I love 'em without it.

Crobat is just awesome hands-down. And in HGSS, the Zubat family gets Super Fang and Tailwind ;D Can't wait to try some new combos out! ~~no i don't have two boxes full of crobat pssh~~

Staraoptor is my brave birdy. :3 with brave bird, aerial ace, close combat and endeavor.

for crobat i'm thinking of cross poison, aerial ace, bite, and confuse ray.

I'm actually glad that Zubat and Golbat can learn Fly now. I don't have to wait for Crobat.

This seems to have become a defend Crobat thread or somethin'. Heh. But everyone can have their own opinion.

which is better for crobat, aerial ace, or fly?
fly is stronger, but it overpowers cross poison which can crit and poison. so i won't be getting those chances.
aerial ace won't do as much damage, but it always hits and i'll be getting cross poison's affect
