Banned UsersBelieve it or not, I had to ban someone. So I started up this thread in case it happens again. I'll let you know who got banned and why.
User: TabyTrourdygew
Reason for Banning: They had a link to an adult website in their profile, and that was not acceptable. The account was deactivated and I sent a message to them, and there was no response. With no explanation/apology given, the account didn't seem that important to them anyway.
So there you go. Any objections?

Not a clue. Heh, and sorry, but they haven't even been back to the forum since they registered. Maybe someday we'll get someone to post and then ban them.

It was probably a spambot. Forums will get a lot of registrations that sign up just to have links to spammy sites in their profiles and signatures and never post—I webmaster for a site that has a forum and we get a huge amount of registrations like that. It might be a good idea to enable e-mail verification for new accounts if it's not already on.

That's kinda what I wondered. I might do that if it happens more often. Only one so far when the forum is over a year old ain't much to worry about just yet.
