Christmas Special Poll . . . Already?!Ha ha, we haven't even had Halloween but I've been thinking about what I should do for Christmas this year. I want to do something special. What I'd like to do is a short, (ha ha, yeah right, short,) story and put it up the 24th and 25th. (Have some sort of cliffhanger on the 24th and then the last of it would be on the 25th.) But I have two different story ideas for it so I'd like to do and can't decide which one would be better. So I'm turning to you guys for assitance in deciding. You forum members get the sneak peek stuff and junk so that's why I'm putting the poll up here.
Both ideas are basically my take on a Mystery Dungeon comic. They are two different storylines, and this is how they go:
The first idea was an original version of the games, (sorta.) Human gets turned into a Pokemon and all that, but with the Vye Brante twist of course! Tohru, (yes I took that from Fruits Basket,) has been turned into a Pokemon and is found unconscious by Exploration Team Just Gotta. (Ha ha.) But unlike in the games, Tohru has memories from her human life, and even knows why she was turned into a Pokemon . . .
Exploration Team Just Gotta and the guild they belong to consist of characters from the comic but like an alternate universe verson of them. The team is Spyro, Jaws, Boltz, and Bopz, who are all wild and have known each other for a long time, unlike in the main comic of course. So they keep their name and personality, but they aren't the same ones we know. No humans will appear in this one. (Kinda scary considering how bad I suck at drawing Pokemon.) This story is a little more complicated, so even with two installments, we probalby won't get through the whole thing over and done with with just a Christmas Special, meaning you wouldn't be able to see the ending until the time I do another similar special. (I always seem to create long and complicated storylines . . .)
The second idea is a little more simple. It's the same characters in the comic, but in a kind of time warpy thing. (Heh.) With the characters in the state they are in when the Viridian City Arc ends, it's somehow now Christmas. The comic is currently in like late March, early April which is why I say it's a time warp. But skipping ahead totally would be too many spoilers so time warp. You know, like how the movies for anime series are supposed to be in the story line but don't seem to fit anywhere? Like that, sorta.
Anyway, Pr. Evur is throwing a Christmas party at his house. Hillaree volunteers to help out. And Hazel invites herself. Heh. While they prepare for the event, Spyro and the other Pokemon want to get Hillaree a gift but are short on funds. Ponyta recalls a place where Pokemon gather and form Exploration Teams. They might know of where they can find a special treasure that they can give to their trainer. Spyro, Jaws, Bopz, and another Pokemon . . . (Spoiler Pokemon, sorry,) head off and find a guild. One of the teams is about to go to a cave to find a treasure, so "Exploration Team Just Gotta" decides to go and try and get it first.
So there you have it. Those are the two ideas. Let me know what you think. I will probably end up doing both anyway. Just voting on what one we want first for Christmas, I guess.

If you're convinced you'll do both, then do both. Entirely your choice.

Yeah, I'll probably do both at some point because I like both ideas. Just one would be before the other. The other one would have to wait until later on.

I'd vote for the one with the original characters. The Mysterious Dungeon one does sound like the more interesting story to be honest, but I'd hate it if you make two comics and then leave the story having for a long time, while the other one sounds like something that could be done in less comics and is more of an actual christmas story anyway.
Anyway, I'd suggest leaving the Mysterious Dungeon storyline on the sideline for a bit and instead focussing on the other two side comics you have now, those being Gotta Past and Just Mewtwo. You could always do more side comics after finishing one or both of those, otherwise you're gonna find yourself swamped in unfinished comics.

I think the one with the actual characters would make a bit more sence, seeing as that's most likely something that Hilaree's Pokemon would do for her.
Also, since this takes place in the future technically, would characters yet to have come into the storyline make a cameo like appearance. *is totally not referring to himself* I mean a Cameo of Chaun in the Background at Evur's party would make make me happy. Heck even if you don't make it a future storyline reference, you could make it a reference to my own comic.

It's not a future storyline, exactly. Like I said, it's basically just the characters in a time warp. Once the short is over, they'll go back to the normal storyline. There won't be anything of consequence, so it'll be like it never happened. Although there will be a joke probably of like, "Does it feel like to you like we just did something that now hasn't happened?" or something along those lines.
It can't be a future story because there would be a lot more Pokemon involved and some of the team members would have evolved and junk. So I'm taking the current characters, skipping them ahead, and then skipping them back.
. . . That made sense to me and that's all that matters. Ha ha.
Heh heh, you wanna cameo? Sure! Actually, you've given me a good idea. While Spyro and the gang are on their little adventure, it'll cut to Hillaree now and then. During these clips, ALL of the fan requested characters can make a short appearance. This way, it's like an apology to them for not appearing yet, they can see the designs in action, for some having them designed at all could be like a Christmas present, and it could be some slight spoilers as a present to everyone!
. . . Hope that doesn't take away from you though . . .
Just a thought. Guess I'd have to run it by the submitters. And get to drawing them all at that . . .

I'm just more interested in a story about Hillaree and her gang than something that isn't quite connected.
On the other hand, both ideas DO sound interesting. ^^
Looking forward to it, either way.
