HeartGold/SoulSilver PreparationYou may have seen me talking about planning my Pokemon team for HeartGold. Anyone else getting ready?
Amjam doesn't count because she already has it!
Heh. She can talk about her team and stuff if she wants though I guess, or whatever she wants to talk about . . . whatever.
I've added two more Pokemon to my list. So here's my will be team so far.
Cyndaquil
Chikorita
Spinarak
Sentret
Zubat
The Sentret, once it evolves, will be able to learn Surf, so it can be my Surfer. This time I won't need a Water Pokemon! Just need to figure out that last Pokemon slot. I kinda wanted to keep them all second generation Pokemon. (Once the Zubat evolves into a Crobat, it'll be a second generation!) Problem being that none of the second generation Pokemon are really grabbing me begging to be trained. I will probably just end up doing Mareep because they are fun and I haven't done one in a while. I've been sorta looking at Sudowoodo too. Just not sure yet. The one I would have really wanted is Chinchou, because I've never done it before. But you need at least a Good Rod to catch one and you don't get that until later in the game. I would want a full team by that time so . . .
I'll be trading myself the Chikorita and the Spinarak, so maybe I'll just trade myself a Chinchou too. I just worry when half the team doesn't normally belong to me. If you are wondering why I want to trade myself a Spinarak when I could catch one easily, it's because I can breed Spinarak's with Signal Beam, and Spinarak doesn't learn a good move by itself for a good while, so I'll want something stronger. Plus, why be able to breed them if I don't use one every once in a while?
On a side note, I think I will probably play as the boy because I don't really care for the girl's design. They should have just used the girl from Crystal, Chris/Crystal. Plus, Gold is awesome!

I really like the idea of having all second-gen Pokemon, and the red Gyarados kinda counts haha. I also love friendship evolutions, it makes me feel like I've invested lots o' love in my Pokemon, so I'm thinking about this team. Larvitar is one of my favorite Pokemon so it gets the last spot and can probably help out on an HM along the line.
I'd kind of like to get my hands on one of those Pokewalker Surf/Fly/Volt Tackle all-in-one super talented Pikachu, though!
