Odd GTS things...

Wow..Well, I'll start with the first one:
Okay, so I had a legit Chikorita up for trade..And I wanted a Mismagius. (I got another one but it was hacked...)
And I checked the summary so I could get another thing (So I could take it down for trade) and it was a Nidorino!
I tried to take it back...And it wouldn't let me... (>> Wink

I checked again and it was fine... oO;

Then, I asked for a Militonic (any level) and I got it...It was from Kanto!
I was very sad, because I actually trained that Chikorita up to a meganium and it was a girl! (That's hard to get)

Has anyone else gotten a weird thing or a shiny off the GTS?

Huh. No, I haven't had that problem. But I don't doubt it could happen.

I was surfing for a Piplup and so I searched it, but one of the results that came up wasn't a Piplup at all. It was a Slowpoke or something weird like that. But it said it was a Piplup...

Weird. I've heard of people nicknaming with names of other Pokemon, but the GTS should be able to pick that out.

Still nothing weird from me though.

I don't even use the GTS anymore. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a cheat-altered or generated Pokemon, sadly enough =/

Maybe, but as one who ceats and knows that others do, rest assured that any Pokemon I put on the GTS is the real deal! Even when it's really tempting, I won't put up a cheat coded Pokemon. Like the other day when there was a Mewtwo being offered for a Mew. I had a Mew but a cheat coded one. I didn't do it.

I don't know how much that would mean to you, seeing as how I am only one person, but at least I'm not making the problem worse.

Meh... I don't have a problem with people who use cheats, as long as they don't make Pokemon with max IVs, impossible moves, etc., and then use them on Wi-Fi claiming they're legit. But cheat-generated Pokemon being offered in return for ones that I've bred and/or raised myself is discouraging Sad

To me, catching and raising Pokemon is most of the fun of the game (I guess that's because I suck at battling xD).

Heh, yeah. A friend of mine feels the same way. He puts a lot of work into Pokemon breeding and stuff and puts them on the GTS. Usually holding a great item too. (He's a really nice guy.) But he usually gets lemons in return. Too bad people are like that.

I don't know how to alter stats and even if I did, I wouldn't do it. That'd take away all the fun, I'd think. It's awesome when you raise a strong Pokemon and you know that it's all your hard work that made it like that. (I love you Shockster! Very Happy

) I also don't currently have a code that gives a Pokemon moves it can't normally know, although I do want it.

Just for one Pokemon though. A Charmander. Named Spyro. Who can use Psychic.

Yeah, I once got a female Chikorita (Was bred from my legit Meganium) for a Vespiquen.
I ended up getting a Vespiquen caught with a Master ball, level 100, and was found at the Sinnoh Pokemon League.

Turns out it was the Vespiquen Aaron had. Oh, well.

Wow, there's a code that lets you do that? Interesting! I wouldn't do it, but still interesting.

I find it's usually at least a little safer to ask for low leveled Pokemon. I like to train them myself anyway, so I ask for the first evolutionary stage at lv. 9 and under. I still get cheated Pokemon, but at least not as cheated.

Most of the time I only get legits by asking for a level 100 pokemon...Odd.

That is weird. You'd think they'd be less likely to give away a legit they worked so hard on . . .

But maybe it's just me that thinks that.

Meh, sometimes you don't even know if it's legit. Like if it was cloned.

Most of the Pokemon I get are legit, but only because I ask for crappy Pokemon that I'm too lazy to go catch myself. DX

But I've found that Stunky and Stuntank are good Pokemon to offer up if you don't want anything special.

I found that a female Combee can pretty much get you anything. They are like GOLD! I bet Ditto's are good too.

I noticed everyone wants mewtwo, mew, celebi, dialga or palkia for EVERYTHING. I asked for a Bidoof, any level, and someone wanted a mewtwo for it. I was like, "b**ch, no." And went off to look for a celebi.

I also noticed most of the legendaries want a higer level of the legendary they have up. It's like, "Obviously you HACKED the SOB, so just hack yourself some rare candies and level that B**ch!"

I have very rough language when I see stupid stuff like that. And those ARE quotes, not paraquotes.

Try to ask for legendaries like Celebi and Mew on sites like Serebii if you want a legit one, because people on the GTS hack most of the time, not to mention they're not very bright. Once I saw a Starly for a level 70 Alakazam. -_-
