I've noticed other webcomics have similar elements to Just Gotta. I thought it'd be fun to talk about. (As much as we talk about anything here at least.) And it's stuff that we didn't get from each other even! (I hope.)

The main one I've noticed lately was with Black Meowth. Mewthree is an oddly colored black Mewtwo. In recent developments in Black Meowth, it seems that the black Pokemon, (at least for Meowths and Persians, if not all of them,) have attacks that work differently than they do for other Pokemon. Mewthree is the same. (Little bit of a spoiler here, sorry.) For example, when Mewthree uses Double Team, he actually makes a copy of himself that can fight along with him.

I didn't get this from Black Meowth, and seeing as how it hasn't come up in Just Gotta yet, the author couldn't have gotten it from me. So we just think alike it seems. But is it too alike? I hope not, because I don't want to change anything.

I was thinking there was something about Stuff of Legend that was like Just Gotta as well . . . but I can't remember what it was. Might have just been that they're not going around for badges and stuff, but I don't think that's what it was. Maybe I'll remember sometime.

D: Actually, your concept is similar to mine in Butterfly Chromosome.

Mana, Rain and Ranji and... other special non-introduced characters = Hilaree as they all have powers. (well, special talents that nobody else has. My characters have wings and highly developed senses, hilaree has phychic abilities)

Hilda = Professor Evur (they both are basically characters that exist to jump-start the story)

Robin and Hazel = Professor (they're there for comedy relief, but serve some purpose)

The story is really different though.

One thing though . . . HILLAREE ISN'T PSYCHIC. Apparently, I still haven't made this clear enough.

Part of that is my fault...but I think it's kinda funny.

Jessica=Hillaree...kinda. They both came through portals to the Pokemon world.

Although I find it funny how although Jessica went through the portal of her own will and now wants to go back, Hillaree was kinda dragged in and is enjoying herself. In a way. ^^'

Heh, it's true. And you even said the Smeargle used a Psychic ability to create portals. Only Psychic Pokemon have the ability to travel the dimensions in Just Gotta.

It's funny how we can have these similarities without meaning to and stuff.

This may seem a little abstract, but there's a similarity I've noticed with Stuff of Legend. Not story wise, but creation wise.

After finding Smack Jeeves, I found a comic you may have read called Silver Lining. This is a hand drawn Pokemon comic. It was the first hand drawn one I ever saw. It had never dawned on me that they could be hand drawn. This concept simmered in my brain for a while until one day it occurred to me, if EmberGryphon could do it, so could I!

Neko from Stuff of Legend said that the comic Ace of Abra inspired her to create her own Pokemon comic. So both Just Gotta and Stuff of Legend owe their creation to other Pokemon comics.

Silver Lining seems to have died off . . . It's been over a year since it was updated I think. Maybe it'll come back some day. Ace of Abra has also been cancelled. So it just was funny to me that the two comics came about after reading two other comics, and both of the original comics are no longer updating . . .

Just a funny coincidence I guess.

In an interesting twist of fate, I think it was seeing your comic that gave me the idea to re-do the story that turned into Pokémon Twilight as a webcomic, in a sort of "Hey, that's a cool idea, maybe I could..." way. (That being said, I hope both our comics run for a good long time!)

There are a couple I've noticed, that I can't remeber the names of.

Also, somthing about Hilaree seems related to Terra in my comic. Dunno why. I havn't posted enough for Terra's personality to be apperent though, lol.
