The Inevitable QuestionWhich is your favourite pokémon? Give reasons, if you please. Yes, Vye, I know yours is Mewtwo but I don't know why!
Also, no debating which pokémon is better than other pokémon, such as Mew Vs Mewtwo or Palkia vs Dialga. Just say YOUR favourite and why.
kthx, COMMENT!

I think we've had this discussion before (I don't know if it had its own separate board...)
Anyway, as everyone knows by now, my favorite is Sandshrew Basically because it's cute and friendly, and Sandslash are impressive!

If this is elsewhere, please post the link!
Anyway, mine's Eevee. It's cute and it has seven different evolutions. All of them look cool and they have amazing stats (200HP at lvl. 51 with Vaporeon? Yes please) so it's worth training them! Woot!

I like a lot of Pokemon, but my favorite is Mew. I don't know, there's something about it...
Probably because it was one of the first Pokemon I had seen. =P

Yeah . . . I think there may have been a thread about this somewhere . . . but I can't recall where.
Mewtwo is my favorite because he's awesome. Simple as that.
. . .
Heh, okay. Well, back before I got Blue Version, I got a Pokemon Handbook to help me learn more about Pokemon. I was reading something about the different types of Poke Balls. It suggested saving the Master Ball for Mewtwo, the hardest Pokemon to catch. I was like, "What the heck is a Mewtwo?" So I looked through the numerical listing to see what Page Mewtwo could be found on. (To my annoyance at that time, Mewtwo was 150, the last Pokemon in the list so I looked through the whole thing.) I looked at it's page and thought, "Wow. This guy looks like Freiza!" I didn't think much of it. I couldn't remember Mewtwo's name very often so would refer to him as Frieza.
Then one day I was in a discussion with a friend and I decided to insist that all Pokemon were cute in their own way, even "Freiza!" (If you don't remember, the original pictures of Mewtwo were just horrible. He looked ugly . . .) So I was fighting for Mewtwo's honor in cuteness . . . sorta. Then as I started to read more about him and stuff, I got interested. Mewtwo was one of kind and had an interesting story. So I just got more and more into him.
And then I saw the movie and pretty much fell in love. Mostly because as soon as Ash started talking, I didn't like him. And Mewtwo was going against Ash so it was awesome and stuff.
So that is the story of how I fell for Mewtwo.

Since the first generation, my favorite Pokémon has been Dragonite. At that point in the series it was unique in being a Dragon type Pokémon, not to mention that it had great stats and a good movepool. It was one of the powerhouses in one of my original teams.
Since then I've also taken a liking to both Salamence and Flygon, and to be honest I find their designs to be better and to generally be more usefull in battles... but the original stays best (:
For the same reason as Dragonite, I also always liked Gengar, but as more and more sucky Ghost Pokémon came to life (lol, ghosts coming to life hahahahetc) I kinda lost some interest in him. Still a cool Pokémon though, also one of the best in my original Red/Blue teams.
(By the way... shouldn't this be in General Pokémon Discussion instead of here?)

Yes, but I have the power to move it!
Heh, well, there is no General Pokemon Discussion thing, (don't know why . . . guess maybe I could add one,) so I put it under Pokemon Games. Because I can.

My favorite Pokemon... well... I have two.
The first is Feraligator. Although Silver wasn't my first Pokemon game, it was the first one that my friends and I really battled each other. After choosing Totodile as my starter, I started to like him. As he evolved to Croconaw (which by the way made me think, wow evolving is much quicker), then later To good ole Feraligator, he became my main powerhouse. When someone told me how to duplicate pokemon on the pc in that game, I made a full team of good Ole Snappy (his name). Later on in Ruby, I borrowed someone's AR and caught myself a level 12 totodile and raised him to be my current Feraligator.
My Other Favorite is Scizor. Back in FR and LG, I had a team that was basically made up of different starters. My friends said I had no origionality because of my Starter based team. I had a Scither from the Game Corner and a Metal Coat, the rest is history. I Prefered the way Scizor looked over his pre evolved form because of his sleek design and red metal skin. I also needed a Pokemon that would be strong but balance out my Water type starter (if someone took Scizor out with a fire pokemon, Feraligator would take em out).
Other than that, I just liked the bird type pokemon from the begining to be on my team in every game.

Random Fact! I've recently had my birthday, and I got an AlphaSmart Neo2, which I nickname 150. Why
Neo2 is very similar to Mew2, and guess who's pokemon number 150?

I'm rather fond of Crobat, for some reason. It's cool, it has epic speed stats, and it's ~*friendly*~. And it can also melt your face off if you're not careful. I think I've had one in my party in every game since Silver.

I like Crobat a lot too. (I like a lot of Pokemon . . .) I always get attached to them when I train them. This seems unusual when compaired to other Pokemon in that Crobat is kinda . . . ugly-ish . . . and I usually have a hard time making my mind up about it's moveset. Still, I like them.

My favorite would have to be Gardevoir (not the evolutions before and after it though, mostly Gardevoir.)
The reason is a couple small ones:
It reminds me of one of my friends that I met many years ago (She had green hair and eyes that did look red when you looked at them) and she liked the colors green and white.
And because Gardevoir is cute-looking!
And because Gardevoir always cracks me up when I see her and Pr.Evur together!
And the info that the PokeDex entry gives (the Ruby-Sapphire one) reminds me of someone in real life (who looks nothing like Gardevoir) who acts like her at school.
And if I could have any pokemon as a friend, it would have to be Gardevoir.

i have a lot:
top in kanto:
charizard: why;in my yellow (this was when i was 6, 7, something like that) i noticed that slashed crited nearly every single use. also i love a challenge and that's what the fire starters give. plus sunny day and solar beam on a spec. attack based fire type takes out ALL of it's weaknesses (water rock and ground). give him earthquake and weat wave and that is deadly in any kind of battle.
top in johto: waiting until g/s remakes are out in u.s.
top in hoenn:
metagross: why;psychic and steel leaves only two weaknesses and A LOT of resistances. also steel and psychic gave high defenses (sp. and regular) and he learns powerful attacks. in my emerald (which i lost ) he was my defensive powerhouse with psychic, earthquake, hyper beam, and sludge bomb (which i switched out for something i can't remember.) he only gets deadlier in sinnoh.
top in sinnoh:
either staraptor, lucario, or luxray;
staraptor:powerful flying type that learns a move to counter rock and steel types. plus speed and a powerful flying type attack.
lucario:learns the strongest always hit attack in the game. the only other pokemon that learn aura sphere are legies, and i'm trying to avoid that right now. with psychic and earthquake he gets dangerous. add in water pulse and you've got a versatile moveset that covers weaknesses.
luxray:this physical pokemon learns a semi powerful attack and is on my original team, i just do, don't know why.

It's too bad that the only Water-Type (damage giving) attack that Lucario can learn is Water Pulse, because it's not very good aside from the confusion effect
|
DragonhandX
|
at least it's something, plus it goes with his high sp. att. but yeah, bubblebeam is stronger than water pulse (and any auto-hit move besides aura sphere) i guess speed is not as major as confusion. right now i have poison jab instead of water pulse. poison beats confusion against a toxic/double team moveset.
EDIT:i think that's what rain dance is for.

hmmm...could of sworn i'd post my fav pokemon once here...
but for the sake of keeping it alive,
My favorite is Raihcu. ;D
Why? well, I can't seem to really explain it.
But i remmeber as a wee lil' kid, I hated the way they were portrayed in the anime.
;D soooo....eyea. I somethign about Raichu i just like. (honestly, i dun care about like, stats or anything it has, hahah, unlike alot of people)
Vye: really? you thought mewtwo looked like freiza? SO DID I! xD
hahah, eesh. i hated the sprites in Red/blue.
hahah. but anyway, yea...my favorite is Raichu....deal with it. always has been, and always will be.

My favourite right now? Has to be Nidorina. Not that it's strong, or anything, but it's the Pokemon I'm currently addicted to drawing.
Past addictions:
Vulpix
Pichu
Torchic
Cyndaquil
Piplup
Eevee
Glaceon
The list just keeps going... Thankfully, I can't remember them all.

did i mention raichu is the reason i found SJ's?

How in the world did that work?

Do ask being how he found SJ via Raichu ;D
As for me, Eevee is my all time favorite pokémon. I like the evolutions as well for eevee...I've always liked pokémon since the mid 80's (they came out in Japan long before they came stateside, and my dad used to travel a lot to Japan for business, so he used to come home with piles of pokémon items). One of those was a eevee plushie :3
I also have a weakness for psychic and ghost pokemon, so of those, I like Abra and Haunter (I think Haunter's cute!).
I don't game often enough to actually build up fondness for various pokémon that way...but I do have favorites among the various types... ^_^
|
Ghost
|
Pikachu is probably my default fave, because of Pokemon Yellow. Though... I quite like Rayquaza, Deoxys and Latios. Ghost types are love. Glaceon/Espeon. Sandshrew. Zubat. Quilava. Wartortle.
... I don't know : O
